Public Relations and Advocacy
Assists with identifying opportunities to advance the library's mandate and mission with local and state government, the Delaware County Library System (DCLS), the schools, civic organizations, the community, and any other organization or individuals identified by the committee, board, director, or staff. Works with the board, director and staff involved in PR, in developing press releases, mailings, brochures, etc. Assists with the development and implementation of the annual appeal. Plans and oversees the development and implementation of fundraising events, especially the annual gala. Assists with identifying potential major donors.

Time Commitment: The time commitment for a Public Relations, Advocacy and Development Committee member will vary based on the number of projects and initiatives. Expect a time range of 4-8 hours per month. Committee membership is for one year.
