Basement Jaxx are expert at assimilating new styles – notably US R&B – without losing their own Brit clubland edge. Their fifth album thus revels in an unforced collision of disparate influences, though never wandering far from a thoroughly funky dancefloor. It also contains hosts of guest vocalists, from Santigold to Yoko Ono, with the latter contributing to a wonderfully crazed disco outing. (Telegraph)
