A Note from the Director:

Who are the Friends of the Haverford Township Free Library?  Are you a member of the Friends of the Haverford Township Free Library?  If you are, GREAT!  If not, now is your opportunity to join. Did you know that the Friends have raised $120,000 to benefit the Library's programs, to purchase library materials, furniture and equipment and so much more?  The separate non-profit organization's mission is to raise awareness of the needs of the Library, to do fundraising, and be advocates of HTFL.  Become a member-the cost is small but the benefits are PRICELESS!  Click here for additional information about the Friends of HTFL and get involved today--become a member that helps the Library and community!

THANK YOU to the Friends of HTFL for all of the work that they do for the Library.

And, thank you for your ongoing support, and as always, if you have any questions, comments or concerns, please contact me.

Christine Faris-Library Director

Local Author Visit: Michael Davis - Tyme to Throw Stones

Sunday, February 26 @ 2:00 pm

Join us for an afternoon with local author and poet Michael Davis.   Mr. Davis has recently published his first novel, Tyme to Throw Stones. Mr. Davis is the husband of Edna Davis, owner of Tyme Gallery in Havertown.

Tyme to Throw Stones covers the historic change in race relations in the United States, told through the eyes of a young light-skinned black boy living in rural Kansas in the summer of 1960. While trying to enjoy life as a kid and participate in America, this inquisitive, adventurous, mischievous boy called Tyme brings his own brand of protest and instigation to demand full freedom and unrestricted movement along his envisioned life’s path.

Mr. Davis will talk about his book, answer questions, and sign copies of his book.
