A note from the Director:
A note from the Director:
Six staff members, a Board member of the Friends of HTFL, and I started our day off very early yesterday when we were invited to participate in WHYY’s NPR “college challenge” to man the telephones during their current pledge drive. We spoke to several callers from Havertown and library users when they heard Ed Cunningham from WHYY announce that volunteers from Haverford Township Free Library were in the studio to take pledge calls. It was a fun morning for all of us and we felt happy to get our name out there on the radio. Go HTFL! I hope we make a difference in YOUR life.
Please take note of some very special programs we have coming up at the library over the next several weeks—your attendance is very much appreciated!
Thank you for all of your support.

One of the big challenges for small business owners is getting cost-effective business intelligence. The Delaware County Library Systems provides its card holders with free access to a world of business-related publications and extensive databases that can help you grow your business, find new customers and beat the competition.
The Reference USA database contains information on 200 million consumers and 14 million business. Participants are invited to bring their laptops or tablets so they can connect to the Web portal through the wifi at the office. Computer terminals will be available for those who do not bring a computer. Librarians and SCORE counselors will introduce the reference databases, show how to create search queries and use the results, and help guide the participants through the navigation of the data areas that are most useful to their businesses.

-
Find clients or businesses by demographics and geography;
-
Locate essential business details on a company;
-
Find competitors and competitive intelligence;
-
