The library is currently accepting donations for 2 great organizations!
Would you like to be involved in philanthropic organizations, but you don’t have the time to volunteer? Here are two great ways to contribute that only require a trip to HTFL.
The library now has a collection box for Soles4Souls in our lobby. Soles4Souls is a non-profit organization which accepts “gently worn” shoe donations and facilitates sending them to individuals in need. Since 2005, Soles4Souls has given away more than 14 million pairs of shoes to people in over 127 countries. Soles4Souls has been featured in Runner's World, Ladies’ Home Journal, National Geographic’s Green Guide, and The New York Times. It has appeared on CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, BBC, CNN and thousands of regional news outlets across North America.

Upper Darby Food Center
The library is continuing its drive for Upper Darby Food Center currently with a collection box in the lobby of the library. The Upper Darby Food Center collects non-perishable items for families in and around the Upper Darby area. The center regularly provides aid from 18 to 23 families. Ideal donations include canned items soups and vegetables and boxed items like cereal and pasta. Due to current pick-up and distribution restrictions, please be mindful to not donate items that require freezing or refrigeration.
