Gearing up for the excitement!
We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Maurice Sendak exhibition-In a Nutshell: the Worlds of Maurice Sendak, 200 sq. ft panels that offer some glimpses into the art and writing of beloved children's author, Maurice Sendak. Where the Wild Things Are and In the Night Kitchen are two of the works that will be highlighted in this six week exhibit, March 8 through April 20. A series of programs have been developed around this extraordinary event, including a book discussion series, Wild Rumpus! for children of all ages, lecture on Sendak's genealogical explorations, a Yiddish song and Klezmer clarinet intergenerational program, and Gallery Tour of the Rosenbach Museum-and much more!
We will host an Opening Reception for the exhibit on Thursday, March 8 from 7-9pm on the first floor of the library. Patrick Rodgers, curator of the Rosenbach Museum's exhibit will be on hand to facilitate the evening.
