DONATE ONLINE TODAY! There is a bright light on the Haverford Township horizon, and it illuminates our whole township and beyond. What makes it bright?

  • Record-breaking growth in programming and event-type presentations
  • Extraordinarily high rate of community usage
  • Remarkable dedication and creativity from an exceptional staff

Of course I'm talking about our own Haverford Township Free Library, where we provide you with resources, programs, and services that enhance and enrich your life. The Haverford Township Free Library once again needs your support. Thank you for your insight and understanding that HTFL is a priceless local resource during these challenging economic times. We always need the community’s support to maintain our position as a premier library. Yes, Haverford Township provides the largest percentage of our funding; however, for the balance we count on the generosity of supporters like you. This year we need your support more than ever. Your library, a cornerstone of our community, is an unparalleled catalyst providing life-long learning, literacy enhancement, cultural programming, technological advancement, and community development.

  • Library usage has soared in the past year to 325,000 customers
  • Book, audio, and video borrowing statistics have increased by 4.8%
  • Book club and reading programs now number 10 per month
  • Overall the number of total programming attendance reached 18,000
  • The library now boasts a wireless environment and a library cyber portal with more than 1.2 million hits last year
  • HTFL serves as a bastion for local entrepreneurs that use the library on a daily basis; even questions for our incredible team of librarians have increased exponentially, especially in the areas of the economy and job seeking.

Is this the essential time to support your library? Absolutely! Now more than ever, the most important reason to give to the annual appeal is to guarantee that we continue to provide you, your family, neighbors, and friends with professionally developed resources, programs, and services that enhance and enrich your life now and in the future. You may decide to give as a symbol that your library serves all from birth to retirement. I encourage you to give at the highest level possible and become a Library Leader (your gift may be made as a pledge and spread out over a number of months. We will work out the details with you.)

Thank you in advance for your generous support of our 2010 annual appeal!
