"In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue"
In honor of Columbus Day, celebrated on October 8 this year, we decided to stretch our imaginations and create boats and other contraptions that could get us across the Atlantic Ocean. Did we "seas" the opportunity and succeed?? Look for yourself!
Check back here tomorrow evening for the current week's creations!
During our fourth week of Lego Club, we explored the world of habitats since World Habitat Day is celebrated on October 1. We learned that a habitat is a place where something or someone lives. In doing so, we decided to create our own dream habitats!
Come out every Wednesday to see what our next challenge is!
During the third week back at Lego Club for this fall, we decided to celebrate "Model T Day" (October 1) by creating our own dream vehicles. Check them out here:
Come join us every Wednesday to see what our next challenge will be!
Going back a few weeks now, during our second week back of fall Lego Club, we celebrated the Air Force's Birthday (September 18) by building our own flying creations. Check them out below!
See you next week!
Is it a book or DVD rental that you want to borrow from the library that prompts your visit, or is it to use the internet? Do you attend one of the many programs we offer for one and all? Do you come to the library to use the WiFi or to attend a meeting? Or do you visit for socialization, or just a place to "be" in the community?
I would like to know your thoughts. Please consider sending me an email at
Your thoughts are important to me in the way you use your library. I value your opinion.
