Reading Olympics Club
Grades 2-5

You're already reading the books; now come have some fun with them at HTFL!  Each month, we'll highlight a different book from the Elementary Reading Olympics list and participate in a variety of related activities and crafts.

PAWS for Reading
Grades K and up

Come to HTFL and practice reading to the best listener—A dog! Therapy dogs Rutland and Ziggy come to the Library to meet with young readers and listen to children read a book of their choice.

Within a week from the program date, you will be assigned a 10-minute time slot for your child to read with one of the therapy dogs. Please plan to arrive a few minutes before your time begins.

Book Bingo
Grades K-5

Are you crazy about science?  Join Ms. Claudine and create hands on experiments using polymers, magnets, chemical reactions, and wind power.

Happy National Grouch Day

National Grouch Day allows all grouches out there to celebrate their way of life. Not a grouch? This day also gives all the normally chipper people a day to complain for once! For those everyday grouches, here are a few ways to live a happier life: do a fun or silly activity, allow yourself only five minutes of negative time, do something to benefit others, or enjoy some healthy foods.

Summer Reading Club 2015 Wrap Up & Contratulations

Thank you to everyone who read and participated in our Summer Reading Club this summer!

Friday, August 21, was the last day to log in reading minutes.  We had 317 students age 2 - grade 5 participate in our program, and you read over 224,925 minutes!  

I hope you all found some new favorite books/authors to read and revisited some old classics this summer.  See you in the library...
