Resilience In Action: Raising Children and Adolescents Who Are Prepared to Thrive

The School District of Haverford Township, in conjunction with the Haverford Township Adult School and the Haverford Township Free Library, is proud to offer an evening with renowned parenting expert and speaker Dr. Kenneth Ginsburg, M.D. The event will be held on Wednesday, October 3rd at 7pm at the Haverford High School Auditorium located at 200 Mill Road, Havertown.

Topics include: how to foster high achievement in children while instilling a love of learning; keeping our children/teens safe by teaching them positive decision-making, and communication strategies that position parents to be unwavering positive forces in their children's lives.

The program is free and open to the public. Registration is STRONGLY suggested.

Fall Breakfast Workshops for the Business Community

Join us this fall for a series of workshops on Getting Your Business Online. This workshop series is a follow up to our 2012 Business Breakfast.

Workshops include: Taking Your Business Onto the InternetGetting Your Business on Facebook, 7 Ways to Stretch Your Marketing Budget with eAdvertising, Technology Tools to Help Your Business, and Patch Free Tools: Marketing Your Business to Your Community.

All workshops will be held at HTFL on Thursday mornings and begin at 7:30am. Registration is requested. Learn more and register!

Oldies Dinner Dance at Barnaby's

Put on your boogie shoes and get ready to shake your groove thing to the sound of DJ Tommy Tunes!

Join the Library on Saturday, November 3 from 6-10pm at *Barnaby’s of Havertown for a special fundraiser of dining and dancing to the hits of the 60s and 70s as well as some current popular dance numbers.

Tickets cost $35 and include dinner, dessert & coffee, and draft soda & beer (a cash bar will also be available). Stop by the Reference Desk today to purchase your tickets.
