July 2011

The library is currently accepting donations for 2 great organizations!

Would you like to be involved in philanthropic organizations, but you don’t have the time to volunteer?  Here are two great ways to contribute that only require a trip to HTFL.

TONIGHT: Stamp-a-Card Workshop

Are there birthday, anniversary, or thank you cards you need to send?  Don't buy a Hallmark card at the local drug store!   Come flex the creative side of your bain and learn to stamp your own cards with Claire Lawrence, expert cardmaker/stamper.

Join us on Wednesday, July 27th, 7-8pm. This program is free and is designed for older elementary-aged children, teens and adults and will be held in the Rotary Room - next to the main Children's Reading Room.
Registration is appreciated but not required. You may register online through EventKeeper.

Computer Problems? The Computer Tutor is here to save the day!

Need computer help?

The Haverford Township Free Library is proud to announce the start of a monthly one-on-one consultation program with our very own Computer Tutor!  The Computer Tutor will hold a 1-hour session September 12th from 6pm to 7pm on the first floor of the library.  She will answer questions in a one-on-one environment, limiting each question to 5 to 10 minutes.  The public is invited to pop-in and ask a “how-to” or “what’s next” question to our electronic guru!  Those with laptop problems are encouraged to bring their machines.
See you Monday; or, as they say in binary, 011000100111100101100101! For more information, call the Reference Department at extension 201.
