TODAY: Alice Ozma Author Visit

Reading Promise Alice Ozma

Local author Alice Ozma will be visiting the library on Sunday, June 12th at 3pm for a book signing and a reading from her debut publication, The Reading Promise: My Father and the Books We Shared. From fourth grade until she left for college, Ozma's father, a school librarian, read to her for at least ten minutes every night. The Reading Promise chronicles the books they read and affirms the lifelong benefits of childhood reading.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase.

Friends Beach Bag Book Sale

Beach Bag Book Sale

In addition to their annual book sale in September, the Friends host a smaller book sale just before Memorial Day. The sale will feature “beach reads”: mystery, fiction, romance and children's books–all paperback–selling for 50 cents to $1.

This year’s sale will be held on Saturday, May 21st from 10am to 3pm in front of the Haverford Township Free Library.

If the weather isn’t cooperating, it will be held inside the library. Please stop by to fill up your beach bag with summer reads at great prices!
