Don't know what to get a certain person on your gift list? Do they love books but they can't store another one in their house? Why not donate money for a book in their honor?
Through our gift giving program, we will choose a book as individual as that person and place a book plate in the front of the material honoring them-whether they like biographies, or a special craft or hobby, or listening to audiobooks, we can find something they will like. And, you are helping out the library at the same time!

The Friends of HTFL will have a bargain shopping day on Saturday, October 1 from 10am to 4pm in the library's lower level. Books will be $5/bag! Don't miss this opportunity to fill your own library with great reading material. Music CD's also available.
When you think of summer what thoughts do you have? Do you think of it as the slow time of year where you kick back, enjoy the sun, vacation, or take time for yourself? For many people that is true, but for the library and staff it is further from the truth. We have been busier than ever! Summer Reading Clubs, which will come to a close at the end of this week, check outs of materials and check ins have been keeping staff busy all summer, and we hope that we have entertained and enlightened you in some way.
I was so delighted to hear of someone who came into the library comment on the energy that surrounds the building, staff and programs. We attempt to do that every day, and we hope we have done that for you.
If we have entertained you, educated you or gave you a cool place to "be" this summer, then we accomplished our goals. Over 800 people on average visited the library each day and, in fact, some days we had over 1200! Please consider a gift of acknowledgement by giving to our annual appeal with a tax deductible gift. You can give online or in person. Help us help YOU!
Thank you. Enjoy the rest of the summer.

Don't miss some of these unique and interesting programs we have coming soon to HTFL:
Sunday, March 6 at 2pm--we will show a film about the life of Alice Paul, a woman born in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, who attended Swarthmore College and the University of Pennsylvania for her Ph.D.; she was directly involved in the movement to fight for equal rights for women, and most significantly, a woman's right to VOTE.
Saturday, March 12 at 2pm--experience Native American Indians in full dress with live music and stories; this is truly a program for ALL AGES!
Sunday, March 13 at 2pm--a facilitator from the Alice Paul Institute in New Jersey will be here to conduct a Mother/Daughter Leadership Program-registration suggested.
Thank you so much for supporting our programs through your attendance and annual appeal donation.
At the Haverford Township Free Library, we are so much more than books.........
